Villa Didiea
A historic tufa villa, entirely yours

The residence
Villa Didiea is a historic tufa-stone estate set in the UNESCO hills of Monferrato, and it can be yours entirely. Once owned by the Dal Pozzo family, ancient Piedmontese nobility who took the title of Counts of Castellino here when the village was part of the Marquisate of Monferrato, the villa still bears the original frescoes uncovered during restoration: their intertwined dragons crest continues to decorate the main hall.
Aristocratic charm meets the comfort of a modern residence. The villa consists of a large main body and a separate apartment with its own entrance.
The ground floor of the main house opens onto the convivial spaces: the frescoed hall, a fireplace lounge and several dining rooms under brick vaults, including one that seats up to twelve. Here you'll also find the modern fully-equipped kitchen and the atmospheric old kitchen with its antique cast-iron stove; the thick tufa walls keep the rooms cool even at the height of summer.
On the two upper floors are the three bedrooms furnished with antiques (one with two French-style beds, one double, one twin), flanked by additional sleeping areas including a living room with a double sofa bed. Still within the main house, the former barn with exposed beams has become a wellness and relaxation area with Turkish bath, rainfall emotional shower and ping-pong table.
Completing the property is an independent apartment: double bedroom, bathroom, mezzanine with French bed and equipped kitchenette, ideal for guests who prefer more autonomy. In all, Villa Didiea sleeps up to 14 (we recommend 12 for maximum comfort), with four bathrooms (three full plus a service one), air conditioning and Smart TVs in every bedroom.
Outside, the private, sheltered park delivers silence and calm. The pool, set in greenery, uses salt-electrolysis water treated with UV: pure, with no chlorine smell, gentle on the skin.
Under large parasols you'll lunch and dine outdoors, while a barbecue area at the back stands ready for grilling; there's private parking and, by night, the illuminated façade turns the atmosphere into something quietly cinematic. You're in the heart of Monferrato's wine and truffle country, among Barbera and Grignolino vineyards.
Moncalvo, with its Truffle Fair, is minutes away; Asti twenty; Turin and the Langhe about an hour: a comfortable base for cellars, tastings and historic villages.
